Who We Are

Disability Enlightenment Foundation (DEFOTanzania) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting disability rights, inclusion, empowerment, and equal opportunities for persons with disabilities in Tanzania. We work toward an inclusive society where people with disabilities can participate fully in education, employment, leadership, entrepreneurship, technology, and community development.

Vision Statement

A self-reliant and inclusive world where persons with disabilities can participate fully and independently in society.

Mission Statement

To advance disability rights and inclusion through nationwide public awareness campaigns, community meetings, media engagement, leadership initiatives, awards, and an annual conference for persons with disabilities.
